Happy to Bring In Another Donation!
Steve and I are happy to bring in another donation before the end of the year. We have greatly enjoyed supporting the Seattle Animal Shelter in 2017. We plan on supporting our local shelter pets again next year!
Every shelter animal deserves a great home and we are happy to provide monetary assistance to make this happen. Your referrals mean the world to us. As you know, we donate a portion of every transaction to the Seattle Animal Shelter’s Help The Animals Fund.
Thanks so much for your continued support!
Thinking of Adding a Family Pet for Christmas?
Holidays can be a great time to add a new furry friend to the household. Family members often have additional time off and the kids are home to help welcome your new addition to the family. If you are thinking of enriching your home life with a new pet, I implore you to ADOPT don’t shop! The Seattle Animal Shelter has several lovely cats and dogs looking for their forever home.
Animals come to the shelter for a variety of reasons. Some are strays, their owners have died, or their loving owners can no longer adequately provide for their pets and have surrendered them. All of these situations are heart-breaking. But I’m always amazed at the resiliency of these animals! I think these shelter animals should have a special place in all of our hearts. They’ve been through a lot and deserve a loving home!
Ramses is a regal 8 year old with 3 legs.
But don’t let his disability fool you! He’s playful, social and would love to meet you!

Meet Cali!
This beautiful lady is a social butterfly! She loves to meet new people and tell you all about her day. A good belly rub and head scratches are on her daily agenda. If you are looking for a social snuggle bunny, Cali is your girl!
While she enjoys people, she does want to be your only pet. In Cali’s humble opinion, her personality is big enough for one household! She is declawed and needs to be a strictly indoor girl. She’s pretty easy-going and should do well in a home with children. Come meet this perfect kitty today!
Cali takes snuggling to a whole new level!
Why We Support the Seattle Animal Shelter
As you all know by now, I am a huge animal lover! My home life includes 12 pet pigeons in an outdoor aviary, a ring neck dove and pionus parrot in my home office, two 3 year old cats and, thankfully, a very easy-going husband! All but one of the pigeons are rescues, the dove is a rescue and our 31 year parrot was adopted 11 years ago, and, of course, the two cats were adopted from the Seattle Animal Shelter and PAWS. I’m a huge believer in giving animals a second chance.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is, for the most part, a no-kill shelter. Meaning, they will not euthanize an animal because of space or time. They rely heavily on volunteers and donations. Please help us to help improve the lives of these shelter animals!
We donate a portion of every transaction to the Help The Animals Fund. Donations to this fund are put to work in numerous ways to promote animal welfare. The top priority is to rehabilitate animals that are the subject of cruelty and neglect. Donations to this fund pay for veterinary care for shelter animals along with promoting educational outreach to prevent homeless, unwanted and abused animals. This fund also supports the shelter’s foster and volunteer program ensuring that each animal receives loving care while at the shelter.
A New Chance at Happiness
OK…how can you not fall in love with this cute little face! Bun Bun has been in foster care since July 2017. In that time this very scared and skinny boy has blossomed into a love bug with a big purr! He loves to be petted.! He still gets nervous, but with continued patience from his humans, each day he becomes a bit more confident.
As someone who adopted a very scarred kitty three years ago, I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to watch them grow with confidence week by week. Our Murray was practically feral when we adopted him through PAWS in Fall 2014. It was several months before I could even pick him up. Now he’s a super sweet boy who LOVES his tummy petted and eagerly jumps in my lap for attention.
Bun Bun has a very sweet nature and your patience will be rewarded with tons of loving purrs from him!
Don’t you just want to scratch those chubby cheeks!
